From the end of 2004 to early 2005, Lê & Lê proceeded with filing applications for trademark protection of “COFFEE G7 & Device” under the name of Trung Nguyen Coffee Company Ltd in 42 countries in the world, including:

(i) directly with Trademark Registration Offices of 16 countries, namely: Australia, Cambodia, Canada, Taiwan, India, Korea, HongKong, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, United States, Japan, the Phillippines, Singapore, Thailand;

(ii) with NOIP and WIPO under the Madrid Agreement designating 26 countries: Bulgaria, Romania, Russia, China, Albanie, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovine, Belarus, Swiss, Cuba, Croatia, the People Republic of North Korea, Egypt, Iraq, Liechtenstein, Liberia, Monaco, Maroc, Moldova, San Marino, Secbia-Montenegro, Tadjikistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.

LÊ & LÊ also sucessfully registered “COFFEE G7 & Device” in Vietnam. After over 03 months from the filing date (25 November 2004), on 14 April 2005, the National Office of Intellectual Property granted Certificate of Registration for this trademark in Vietnam. This prompt registration is a facility for LÊ & LÊ to proceed with filing trademark application in 26 countries under the Madrid Agreement claiming priority right based on the filing date in Vietnam.
