Vietnam officially joined the Brussels Convention as a party on January 12, 2006

On 27 September 2005, the Vietnamese Gorvernment completed all procedures to become member of the Brussels Convention relating to the Distribution of Program-Carrying Signals Transmitted by Satellite.

According to the WIPO’s notification, the Brussels Convention has officially been taken effect in Vietnam since January 12, 2006. Vietnam is the 28th member of the Brussels Convention at that time.

As a member of the Brussels Convention, Vietnam has the obligation to take adequate measures to prevent the unauthorized distribution on or from its territory of any program-carrying signals transmitted by satellite.
